Cabinet Knobs

A cabinet knob is a single point, which makes it the simplest piece of cabinet hardware to fit and the easiest to change later.

This collection holds our cabinet knobs in matte black, brushed brass, satin gold, champagne bronze, brushed nickel, polished chrome and graphite, many of them matched in finish to a pull series so doors and drawers can share one colour. Knobs suit cabinet doors, small drawers and furniture; pulls and handles take over on wider drawers. Every knob ships across Canada through Marathon Hardware and is priced in CAD before HST.

Common questions

Knobs or pulls: which should I choose?

Knobs suit doors and small drawers, and need only 1 hole. Pulls give more to hold and suit wider drawers. The most common arrangement is knobs on doors and pulls on drawers, in one finish. Pulls throughout is also common in contemporary kitchens. Either way, keep the finish consistent.

Where should a knob be placed on a cabinet door?

The usual position is on the stile opposite the hinge, roughly 60 mm to 75 mm in from the corner: the lower corner on upper cabinets and the upper corner on base cabinets. On drawers, knobs go in the centre of the drawer front, with 2 knobs on drawers wider than about 600 mm.

Can I match a knob to a cabinet pull?

Many of our knob series share a finish with a pull series, and some are designed as a pair. Where a series lists both, they appear together. Where it does not, choose a knob in the same named finish, such as matte black or brushed brass, and the 2 will sit well together.

Do cabinet knobs ship across Canada?

Yes. Knobs ship across Canada with the rest of the collection, with only in-stock items available to order. Prices are in CAD before HST and are for the product only; installation is not included.
